One thing kind of sleazy about this site is no name for the author of the articles. Its unusual and seems like such a cop out.

I write most of the entries here Steevo. The title of the post is extracted from Barack Obama's speech.

Maybe its obvious why I posted Tim. Usually, most articles the author is in agreement, and if not its stated why.

President-elect Barack Obama !
After 8 years of G.W's redneck government it was almost inevitable that the Americans would turn to the democrats for their next leader. However the election of America’s first nominally black president does send a clear message around the globe. At long last there is something good to report about the U.S. and some genuine hope that things will change for the better. Is it good news for the Conservative Party? Certainly “Change” was the most important word in Obama’s campaign. I believe that the Tories can do well on the very same ticket here as many people are ready for a change. However America has chosen to move to the center left rather than the right. The only thing we have in common with the democrats is the colour (er color) Blue. Don’t be fooled Obama is not a conservative he is what American’s call a liberal but what we would recognize as a tax and spend left winger. If Obama is successful in his first couple of years most especially with the economy of the states, the expectation of the British people will be for change to mean real improvement. Can the Tory party deliver a similar atmosphere of change ? I believe that we can, but we also need to deliver policies that can work not rhetoric for its own sake. A lot will depend on the policies that we are asked to explain to the people over the next two years, and frankly we are still waiting for some clear blue water policies to campaign on.

Congrats to Obama, if nothing else he has proved how an inspirational orator can stir the emotions and motivate people! David Cameron - are you learning how it is done? God knows we need some change here in England too. Change to get rid of our slimy ,corrupt, illiberal ZanuLabour government before they finish building a (worse)replica of Ceaucescu's Romania here in our once free land. Democracy is a wonderful thing - thank you America.

Well through the miracle of television I have been able to sit here in England and watch history in the making. What a treat the whole campaign has been, one or two mischosen phrases, but all in all a victory for democracy and wasn't McCain's speech moving as well?
I think everybody who took part can congratulate themselves on a job well done. Good luck America.

The Americanophobes are angry now because had McPalin won, it would have given them more ammunition to flex their smug Anti-American muscles.
Nonetheless, Americanophobia has been going on since the 19th century. It won't end. Additionally, Obama can be compared to the conservative prime minister of Canada. Remember, our liberals are YOUR conservatives.

Yes good luck America!I would have voted for McCain but I hope and pray that Obama is as good as some people think.America and the world needs him to be.
I have a terrible suspicion that he will be like Tony Blair.I really, really hope I'm wrong about that.

Finally, a President of the People, chosen by the People, for the People!
Now we can sit back and watch their Republicans become Fifth Columnists!

"So this is how democracy dies: with thunderous applause."
Over $200 Million in illegal donations.
Over 400,000 illegal voter registrations.
Election monitors illegally ejected from the polls.
Thugs in paramilitary attire with clubs providing 'security' at polling places.
Pre-marked ballots issued to voters.
Voting machines registering the wrong selection repeatedly.
Military absentee ballots rejected.
Same day registration/voting.
People caught, and some even admitting on TV, that they registered and voted multiple times, some in states where they do not even reside.
All so that we can 'elect' a Marxist who befriends terrorists to the White House.
Well I'm glad we're all so happy that the "redneck" government has been defeated. But I should warn you all now that when Russia invades Europe, when Iran attacks Isreal, when China occupies Taiwan and Chavez starts a war of conquest in South America you're gonna have to fix the problem yourselves.
America will be too busy fighting her civil war to care.
Too all of you socialists the world over that have dreamed of this day:
Congratulations. You did it. You finally snuffed out the last flame of liberty on the globe. I hope you enjoy your new dark age. You deserve it.
